Brotherhood

An action short film produced by Philip Condron, who attended the inaugural International Training Camp at the Jackie Chan Centre in Beijing, was created as a final assignment alongside his team. The project was brought to life with the talented contributions of Milan Swagers, Kevin Eijs, Melanie Rains, and Santhino Rinaldo Artist, resulting in an exciting and dynamic action piece.

This short tells a story of an undercover agent who has to choose between killing his brother or blowing his cover. Which one will he choose?

Hound

At the recent Kino Film Festival, Screen Combat Ireland teamed up with Punchnut Productions, KnuckleDust Action Design, and Condron Action Design for a 48-Hour Film Challenge. Over the weekend, our team shot for 6 hours and spent 10+ hours editing to complete this action-packed short on time.

‘HOUND’ follows DAVIS, controlled by a villainous BOSS through a finger snap. When he’s forced to attack friends PHILIP and MILAN, they fight back to free him.

The short showcases our students’ training, acting, and camera skills alongside instructor Philip Condron, with special guests Milan Swagers and Kevin Eijs from the Netherlands, and Davor Svetic as the antagonist.

Thanks to Bianca Castilho, Daire McMahon, and Ryan Murray as the goons, Ismael Diarra as Head DOP, Matthew Smith on second camera, Stephany for makeup, and Shane O’Connel for sound. Post-production and editing were handled by Milan Swagers and Philip Condron, with Milan also creating the fantastic poster.

Deadlock

A 3 Hour Action Short challenge directed and designed by Philip Condron. When a secret agent witnesses her comrade forced to fight another man to save his family, she stays silent, afraid of blowing her cover. Her target, a briefcase held by a crime boss, sits at the center of the chaos, the villain relishing every moment of the fight. When his enjoyment pushes her to the limit, she faces a choice that brings everyone to a tense deadlock.

A huge thank you to my Project A team for their incredible effort in producing this action short film as part of our final assignment at the JC Camp. Tasked with creating and shooting a story in just three hours, the team pushed through the intense rush and gave everything to make it happen.

Thank you also to the JC Stunt Team for selecting me to lead the team, and to Project A for trusting me to guide the way.

Schrodinger

All hell breaks loose when two sisters clash inside a mafia family. With their mother gravely ill, Dana reveals something in her car trunk she plans to use against Bianca. A fight erupts, unleashing chaos.

In just 48 hours, we created Schrödinger, a short film that pushed boundaries and showcased the incredible growth of Screen Combat students. From raw potential to confident performers, they’ve become storytellers with skill, presence, and heart. While I guided the way, the credit is theirs, they showed up, trained hard, and never quit. This is exactly what Screen Combat Ireland was built for: community, growth, and cinematic excellence.

A huge thank you to Milan Swagers and Kevin Eijs for traveling from the Netherlands to help produce the film and mentor my students, their expertise and support were invaluable. Schrödinger was created for the 48 Hour Film Challenge at the KinoD Film Event in Dublin, and we couldn’t be prouder of the result.

Strike First

We bring the action from Beijing to the screen with an intense fight sequence created with friends during this year’s Jackie Chan Camp. Performed by myself and Arman Ansari, this scene was filmed after an incredible week of training together under the Jackie Chan Stunt Team, with cinematography by my good friend Jackie Guo. It was a pleasure seeing you all again and this is one of many videos we created during our free time!

Gimme That Bag

A Jackie Chan style fight scene which evolved from the idea of going outside and shooting some Hong Kong style ideas. It ended up being 4 shoot days!

Thank you to all who gave their time and dedication to finishing the project—it was quite a fun one to make. Thanks also to all the public who stopped and allowed us to shoot our takes; we met some great characters on those days!

Screen Combat Ireland - Fight Scene 3

We take the action to the outdoors with a gritty fight scene filmed in a ruined park structure in Dublin. Performed by Matthew Smith and Ege Irmak, this sequence blends cinematic choreography with raw intensity, capturing the spirit of our screen combat training in a new environment.

This is Ege’s first fight scene filmed outside of class, and his performance shows impressive potential. Both performers brought precision, discipline, and presence to the camera, and the result is a strong display of skill, timing, and storytelling through action.

Our Fight Practice features a one-on-one fight between instructor Philip Condron and performer Bianca J. Castilho, showcasing choreography, timing, and screen presence. A great demonstration of the commitment and growth seen in our training!

BJJ Fight Choreography 3

Grateful once again for the opportunity to collaborate with the incredibly skilled Professor Alexandre Luz on our third Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu choreography for screen. His precision, discipline, and depth of knowledge in BJJ continue to elevate every sequence we create together.

Thank you, Xandy, for bringing your expertise and energy to this project and for your ongoing support in my journey through action design. It’s always a privilege to work alongside someone so dedicated to both the craft and the creative process.
